The Winter’s Tale

“A sad tale’s best for winter; I have one ..” Sc 1, Act 2.

2011 saw a spectacular retelling of Shakespeare’s mystical romance The Winter’s Tale. No stranger to Shakespeare, Corcadorca’s mesmerising production of this ‘tragi-comedy’ drew massive audiences, transforming the largest stage in the city. As Liam Heylin of the Evening Echo described it, this productions was ‘…engaging, busy, boisterous, modern, funny, and moving.’
