After 20 years of creating innovative theatre for Irish audiences, Corcadorca produced Request Programme by Franz Xaver Kroetz in the summer of 2011. The non verbal production allowed audiences into the private world of its lone character played by IFTA winning actress Eileen Walsh as she goes about her daily rituals and routines.
The production took an extraordinary look into the life of a woman who, in the course of one evening, makes a decision that changes her life forever. Accompanied only by the sound of a radio request programme, she moves through the small daily acts on which her life is built. But it is not a day like all the others.
Following a sell out run at the Elysian in Cork, the production embarked on a national tour including the arts festivals in Galway and Kilkenny, and the Dublin Theatre Festival in October 2011.
