Corcadorca Theatre Company is committed to good governance, and has embarked on the journey of compliance with The Governance Code. The company is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors, full details below.


Paul O’Donovan. Appointed 2013 – Chair

Paul O’Donovan is a native of Co. Cork who has returned to the city in 2012 after several decades spent abroad. He has worked and consulted for a variety of private- and public-sector organisations including the European Commission, United Nations, Welsh Development Agency and the Welsh Government. He now works as Academic Secretary in UCC and is a Member of Senate of the National University of Ireland.

Anne Etienne. Appointed 2017

Anne Etienne is a lecturer in modern and contemporary drama at the School of English, University College Cork. Following her Ph.D in france, she started her academic career in the department of Theatre Studies of the University of Warwick before settling at UCC. She has published extensively on theatre censorship in England. Her recent output is devoted to Arnold Wesker and Corcadorca Theatre Company.

Solène Vermont. Appointed 2017

Solène grew up in Paris and Tokyo, and studied architecture in Strasbourg and Delft. She lived in the UK and travelled extensively before settling in Cork. She now works for O’Mahony Pike Architects and has been teaching studio in Cork Centre for Architectural Education for a number years.

Fiona O’Driscoll. Appointed 2019

In her professional life, Fiona works with Apple Distribution International based in Hollyhill Cork in the role of Compensation Services Solutions Deployment Global Lead. This role involves project management, development, delivery & diffusion of change management & training programs to technical technical teams and to employees in a global capacity. Her skill set includes certification by the Irish Institute of Training & Development and the Project Management Institute (PMP) and Design & Innovation/Environmental Science (OU).

Brian Kearney. Appointed 2020 – Secretary

Brian Kearney is a Chartered Accountant and partner in Moore, a medium sized multi-disciplinary accounting practice. Brian specialises in personal tax and wealth planning for clients and is also a qualified forensic accountant.

Olga Barry. Appointed 2020

Olga Barry is currently the Director of Kilkenny Arts Festival.
Previous roles include; General Manager of Crash Ensemble, General Manager of the Festival of World Cultures, Manager of the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, and Festival Producer at Kilkenny Arts Festival. She has also worked extensively as a freelance producer and project manager, as Festival Producer at New Music Dublin and she served as overall Project Manager for the 2016 Centenary Easter Monday Celebrations in Dublin, the largest civic event in the history of the state. Olga serves on the boards of Chamber Choir Ireland, NCFA and Corcadorca Theatre Company.

Ronan Barnes. Appointed 2021

Although not originally from Cork, Ronan has made his home by the Lee. He attended UCC and, later, the King’s Inns and practices law in his chosen County.

Paul Scannell. Appointed 2021

Paul is a barrister who works and lives in Cork and looks forward to working with the exceptional Corcadorca that, over the last 30 years, has presented theatre and the city in a unique and interdependent light.

Corcadorca keeps detailed financial records, maintains strict financial controls and is transparent in its audited financial statements. The most recent statement of audited accounts (2020) is available here. These statements are compliant with the Statement of Recommended Practice for charities and not-for profit entities (SORP), which is currently accepted as best practice in Ireland.
Corcadorca Theatre Company Ltd is designated as an approved body for the purpose of Section 484 of the Taxes Consolidation Act.
