Mint. Productions are a Cork based theatre company founded in 2020 by Èadaoin Fox and Arann Blake. Mint weaves together various art forms in an attempt to break theatrical convention and to create a distinctive live experience. The company is focused on making energetic, stimulating and visceral works.
Mint’s digital productions have been featured at such festivals as the Half Moon Festival, the Galway Fringe and the 21 Islands New York Festival. Their site specific piece “Pit” was developed for Corcadorca’s SHOW 2020, a work-in-progress theatre festival.
After experimenting with different forms of digital theatre and short film during Covid restrictions, the company is excited to develop their multidisciplinary approach to live theatre.
Over the next year, Corcadorca will be offering Mint Productions mentorship support in the form of creative consultancy, use of the Corcadorca Theatre Development Centre (CTDC) to develop work, and use of our city centre offices to host meetings/readings.
Tasteinyourmouth was founded in 2020 by William Dunleavy, Grace Morgan and Laoise Murray. They make original, experimental work that is uncanny, shiny and feminist. They are here to disturb the universe. Working collaboratively with artists of different backgrounds, they create experiences for people who aren’t looking for all the answers but delight in the questions.
Performance history: Most recently they presented NARCISSUS at Dublin Fringe Festival 2021. Their debut production, B(L)OOM, was seen at The New Theatre in January 2020. A work in progress of their new site-specific piece, YOU’RE NEEDY (SOUNDS FRUSTRATING), was seen as part of SHOW 2020 at the Triskel Arts Centre with CORCADORCA. It was further developed with the support of Dunamaise Arts Centre and Kilkenny Arts Festival in 2021. Their site-specific piece, AFTER YOUR ASS, was developed at SHOW 2018 and will receive a work in progress showing in 2021 with the support of an Arts Council of Ireland Project Award. Their short play, AITCHOO, won The Larry Kramer Bursary at the Dublin International Gay Theatre Festival. They were Fringe Lab Artists 2020.
Corcadorca’s relationship with tasteinyourmouth has been developing over the past number of years and we are so pleased to be acting as creative consultants for them on a number of projects in 2022, as well as supporting them in the development of their work with a CTDC residency.
